All wrapped up
As unlikely as it may be, the one summer staple you’ll be glad you packed is a good pashmina or shawl. If it’s hot and sticky outside, it’s almost a guarantee that the air conditioning is going full-blast inside.
Who hasn’t been caught freezing in their summer frock in a restaurant, on a boat ride, or on the plane? Whether you’re fighting with your man over the A/C controls on your way to a fabulous getaway or you catch a chill on the beach with friends, you’re going to want a pretty way to cover up and keep warm.
Cardigans are cute, but wrapping your shoulders in an oversized scarf is an instant way to be chic and luxurious anywhere. Even if your pashmina isn’t made from expensive cashmere, you’ll look (and feel!) as glamorous as you will cozy.

These are some really great links! You’re right - pashminas are a lot more glamorous than cardigans, and work wonderfully well with a summer dress. Great article!

I love the look of a pashmina draped over the shoulders. Currently living in Houston, I know EXACTLY what you mean by the overly freezing A/C. The only issue I have with them is that they are difficult to keep on while eating in a restaurant.
Those cashmere ones from J Crew look beautiful. Thanks for the tips!
