Back to School Shopping
Is it that time of year already where we begin talking about back to school shopping? Well, the truth of the matter is, it is only July and we have some time, but it’s this time that parents need to begin thinking about it, and watching for those sales. Another aspect to consider is that you can oftentimes find better buys on the Internet, so if you begin looking earlier you can save on the shipping, and still have plenty of time to receive the item(s). Also, talk with your children to find out what their expectations are for the upcoming school year such as; new styles, how many outfits they would like to get, and how you can make several outfits out of one pair of pants and a couple of different shirts. Get your children involved in chores, or tasks around the house where they can earn some of their school shopping money. Get them involved, even the younger ones can learn to appreciate the cost of clothing, and find ways to get involved so they can help purchase some of their items. Another great suggestion is to limit your child to one expensive item – and the parent decides what “expensive” is for the family budget. Like it or not, it is that time of year and we should be smart and gear up for it slowly, that way you will be ready.
