China’s top media supervisor says that the country is planning tighter control of blogs and webcasts under a new Internet publishing law.

At the end of 2006, China had an estimated 20.8 million bloggers of whom 3.15 million were active writers.

    Wow! Blogging is sure taking the world by storm. I guess China doesn’t recognize anything similar to “freedom of speech.” However, I feel it is inevitable that legislation will be implemented soon, in all countries, regarding the Internet.
