Chomsky: Hates Ethanol?
Chavez predicted it and Chomsky confirmed it; the price of corn has risen as the burgeoning ethanol/biodiesel industries have grown, creating a new world where peasant farmers can’t afford the former byproducts of the commodities they once grew. While none of this effects the first world, poorer nations, which cannot afford to import food, suffer from the low supply of food crops.
So it’s no wonder that Bush pushes for ethanol over electric or hydrogen power; who cares about the poor? This is America, land of plenty; we don’t have those problems.
Nothing shows the ethanol issue better than the situation in Mexico, where corn farmers are too poor to afford tortilla’s. OH SWEET SWEET IRONY!
I hope the elite is yucking it up now, because when millions of illegal immigrants are burning down the border guard, they’ll have plenty to laugh about as the dust of the two-party state mucks up their polished leather shoes.

Boy you said it all - ironic — there is no better term for this. I guess it just goes to show that the need for alternative fuel methods are great, and so much so that it drives the price of corn up to an unbelievalby high market price — maybe we better search for other methods.
