Cooking 101
For novice cooks, several websites have tips and advice. One of the best I have found is Cooking 101 on the Arizona Republic newspaper website. It’s really basic. The series has 20 lessons on cooking, starting with boiling water in lesson number one and finishing up with a quiz in lesson 20.
This section is especially good for college students or those who are living on their own for the first time. And after you’ve mastered the 20 lessons in Cooking 101, they have Cooking 201, which gets a little more advanced - starting with How to Bake Bread.

This is a great website! Thanks for bringing it to our attention. More importantly, whether you feel you are a novice, or not, you can find information that will surely tend to spice things up. I think we can get into a rut, when it comes to cooking. With such wonderful resources at our fingertips, I think everyone should check them out.

What a handy guide! So many cook books forget that people need to master the basics before they can tackle fancy dishes - this website takes people back to the beginning which really sets it apart. Thanks for bringing it to our attention!

This is very handy. I like cooking but just don’t do it. I think I’ll look over this and hopefully might be able to do some of it. ha ha.
