Group Travel, What a Nightmare
Group travel can be a headache. It can be stressful if there is one person coordinating the whole event. That one person has to take care of all the booking, all the initial costs, and all the planning. Even if they relegate responsibilities, they still have to make sure the delegates do their jobs.
It can be even crazier if different groups or people are responsible for getting themselves situated. Instead of one big group trying to coordinate things, we now have multiple groups trying to sort things out.
In these instances, your best bet is to appoint a point person for each group. Have them in charge of the booking. This person needs to be decisive and able to find the information you need to take care of the details. When you find a good deal, take it. Not everyone may be happy with your decision, but it happens. If no one takes charge, arrangements will never get made.

Hmm — I have always wondered about this. There are some great travel packages offered in a group setting, and I have always felt I would like to try it. Maybe they all are not complex (hopefully). I think I would still like to try one day.,
