Hasselhoff hits rock bottom
US actor David Hasselhoff has admitted he has had a lapse in his battle with alcoholism after his 16-year-old daughter, Taylor-Ann, video-taped him rolling drunkenly on the floor of a Las Vegas hotel room.
On the tape, a girl’s voice is heard saying: “Dad, you need to promise me you’re not gonna get alcohol tonight, OK?”
“If you get alcohol tonight you’re fired from your show tomorrow,” the girl continues. “And a doctor’s coming over here in the morning to check your alcohol level and if there’s any alcohol in your system you’re gonna be fired from the show. Tomorrow. You hear me? No alcohol.”
“Ok,” Hasselhoff replies in a slurred voice.

I found this video utterly and completely disgusting. I realize he asked his daughter to tape him in case he fell off the wagon so he could “see” himself. Nice strategy — maybe it will knock some sense into him. How pathetic it was, to think his 16 year old daughter was on the other end of that camera, pleading with her father to leave the alcohol alone. I think he needs more help than that.

It really worries me to know his young daughter is behind the camera, witnessing all this. Even 16 is really too young to be exposed to the ugly side of your parents. I can only hope that she’ll come out of it unscathed, and perhaps less likely to touch alcohol knowing her own father’s struggle.
