Making money from your blog usually doesn’t happen over night, but there are many simple tips that can get your revenue going higher.

1. Increase your traffic. Nobody can click on your ads if they aren’t on your page. If your blog has traffic, then other principles to money revenue can follow.

2. Blog on topics that draw attention. If you’re blogging on combing horse hair, nobody will click on your advertisements as they will be horse hair grooming kits, and horse hair accessories.

3. Keep advertisements integrated in the flow of your blog theme. Carsalesman tactics of popups and putting ads in the middle of paragraphs usually leaves readers unwilling to comeback.

4. Blog on expensive topics. If my ads are from high priced items and your ads are old poem lyrics, my ppc will be much higher than yours.

5. Make it easy for blog readers to click on your ads. My ads are located next to my links and your ads are in the big empty space on the left side of the web page. Whereas its easy to make a quick click for me, the user has to scroll all the way to the other side of your page. May not sound like much, but it does make a difference.

6. This tip is somewhat controversial as I’ve read different, but I suggest sending readers who open a link on your page to a new browser. Some will argue this is annoying. I say this is marketing. If it’s that easy to navigate away from your page completely, what will happen if the reader becomes interested in the new website and forgets about yours?
