John Mayer Goes Green

John Mayer’s not simply waiting on the world to change. This sensitive singer-songwriter is doing his bit for the planet with an environmentally-friendly US tour.

Mayer will be touring with Reverb, a non-profit organization which looks to raise awareness and support for the environment. The crew at Reverb will ensure the concerts’ energy emissions are offset with wind power. The Mayer tour will travel around the country in buses powered with biodiesel, a clean-burning alternative fuel source.

Additionally, the heartthrobs’ fans can learn more through “villages” at each concert. Here Mayer devotees can find out about renewable energy and alternative fuels, register to vote, and try tasty organic foods.

The green guitar virtuoso is traveling around the country this summer with very special guest Ben Folds.

Awesome. I really like John Mayer and it’s cool he is standing up for something he believes in. He gives awesome concerts. One of the best I’ve seen. I hope to seem him this go around to see the “green”.

This is cool. I wish more performers, and those with influence, would take a stand such as this. The more the better.
