Malacca

Malacca, the third smallest state after Penang and Perlis is located in the south of Malaysia. The capital is Malacca Town. The state’s head is the Governor or the Yang di-Pertua Negeri.Pulau Besar is part of Melaka.

Malacca is dependent on its tourism and manufacturing sector. Its slogan is ‘‘Visiting Malacca Means Visiting Malaysia.’’ Malacca also manufactures products like consumer, food, to high-tech weaponry, computer and electronic parts, automotive components.

Its food is famous. The Nyonya-Baba cuisine, a mixture of Chinese and Malay cooking is notable. The dishes are very spicy. You can find the Malaccan cuisine at the medan selera (food courts).
