Mike Patton Keeps Busy

Mike Patton may just be the hardest working artist in the music industry. The former Faith No More frontman has announced even more side projects.

He will jet to Europe this month to share the stage with Austrian electronic whiz, Christian Fennesz. Patton told Billboard he has no current plans to record with Fennesz, but this may change if the stage venture is successful.

However, it may prove difficult for Patton to find the time. Shortly after his European stint, he’ll tour Australia and New Zealand as part of hip-hop outfit Peeping Tom.

Patton also has a hand in two albums slated for release in July. His alternative metal group Tomahawk will release their third album, “Anonymous,” which offers a new take on traditional Native American songs. Patton has also laid down guest vocals for composer Eyvind Kang’s classical release “Atlantis.”

In his spare time, Patton is busy writing a soundtrack for the upcoming film “A Perfect Place” and helping Norway’s John Erik Kaada produce a DVD.

Phew!
