Musicians Flounder in Forbes’ Celebrity 100
Musicians are losing their star power according to the annual Forbes’ Celebrity 100. In 2007 only 14 musos have made the cut, down from 17 in 2006.
According to the list, the most powerful musician is Madonna. She didn’t make the list in 2006, but due to her popular Confessions tour the disco diva sits at number three.
Just below the Queen of Pop are The Rolling Stones. They’ve slipped two places to occupy fourth spot.
Jay-Z, Bon Jovi, Justin Timberlake and Tim McGraw have all made their first appearances this year.
However, Bruce Springsteen, Dave Matthews Band, The Eagles, Rod Stewart and Jennifer Lopez have dropped from the celebrity list.

Interesting article, and it does make me wonder. It just seems to me that musicians are not at the level of stardom they used to be. Of course, maybe I’m just getting too old and don’t recognize the stature anymore
