Pasar Malams in KL, Penang
In KL and Penang, places I’ve visited, there are pasar malams or ‘‘night markets.’’ Here you can find a wide variety of things. Shoes, clothes, hair accessories, children’s clothing, toiletries, household items are what you can find here. I love to walk at a pasar malam and savor the atmosphere. You can bargain for a cheaper price here. Tourists do come and visit the night market.
There are also hawker stands here selling food. Noodles, kuih-muih, desserts, pastries are sold here. I love the kuih named ‘‘kaya kuih.’’ It’s rather sweet because it has a sweet mixture to go with it.
