Pete Doherty’s Art So Raw it Bleeds

Babyshambles singer and Kate Moss love interest Pete Doherty launched an art exhibition with a difference in London.

The drug-addled rocker has given more of himself than most artists, creating 14 original works using pens, pencils, and his own blood.

The collection features numerous self-portraits, landscapes and charming pieces like “Number 3 on the Twos,” a work depicting a prisoner in his jail cell.

“His use of blood lends itself perfectly to exploring the extraordinary personal and physical intensity that characterizes so much of Peter’s life and work as an artist in the broadest sense,” enthused Robin Barton of the Bankrobber Gallery.

If all this sounds appealing, you can take home Doherty’s blood-splattered artistry for a cool £1200.

The “Bloodworks” collection is showing at London’s Bankrobber Gallery for the next month.
