Reunion Plans for Blur

Fans of Britpop rejoice! The godfathers of the British Invasion, Blur, plan to record together again.

“We will spend one week recording and see what happens,” said drummer Dave Rowntree. “We’re dipping our toes in the water. We have not made any decision but we’ll see how we feel and if the spark is there.”

Bassist Alex James hinted the reunion might include exiled guitarist Graham Coxon.

“I do sincerely hope [there’s a reunion], but there’s no point doing it unless all of us want to because that was what was so good about it. I’m hoping that it’ll happen, but there’s nothing set in stone.”

Blur raced up the charts in the 90s with smash hits “Parklife”, “Girls & Boys” and “Song 2.” Lead singer Damon Albarn has since found fame as a member of virtual band Gorillaz.

Sounds encouraging! While there is nothing set in stone at this time, the talks sound promising and fans should remain optimistic, I think.
