Richards Denies Snorting Dad’s Ashes
Rolling Stones guitarist, Keith Richards denied that he actually snorted a concoction of his father’s ashes mixed with cocaine. The 63 year old Richards says the earlier comment quoted in a British newspaper was only intended as a joke.
The aging rocker was quoted as saying “The strangest thing I’ve tried to snort? My father. I snorted my father. He was cremated and I couldn’t resist grinding him up with a little bit of blow … . It went down pretty well, and I’m still alive.”
He said the statement was meant to explain how close he had been to his father, Burt Richards who died in 2002 at the age 84 and further remarked, “I wouldn’t take cocaine at this point in my life unless I wished to commit suicide.”

Hmmm — okay, if one wasn’t convinced this guy is weird, perhaps your article will push them off that fence! Even if you were joking, why on earth would you joke about your father’s ashes? I think this is insane, and probably not received very well by the general public.
