Rise in Israelis Seeking German Citizenship

Reuters says that number of Israelis seeking German citizenship is rising.

The report cites Federal Statistics Office data which says that in 2006 4,313 Israelis received German citizenship, a 50% rise compared to 2005.

This shows that the younger generation has different attitude towards Germany and their German heritage than their parents and grand parents who tend to have negative view of the country because of its involvement in the Holocaust.
