So You Want Better Abs?

Good for you. The want shows good ambition on your part.

The only problem is how do you achieve better abs?

I’ll let you in on something a lot of marketers don’t want you to know, if you have anything more than a small layer of fat on your stomach, a modelesque torso physique isn’t going to appear because you do the ab roller, ab-a-dex, abdominal cruncher, or whatever else they are hawking nowadays.

I’m not saying all these products don’t work. Yes, some can strengthen your abs, but if you’re fat or chubby, you aren’t going to get toned up on these products or situps alone. You need to sweat your way to abs. This means, you will have to take up some sort of cardiovascular exercise.

Once you have the cardio and start shedding the weight, then you can start to lose the stomach. Then, as you lose the stomach, if you combine the ab work, you’ll have something going.

Solid, fundamental abdominal strengthening exercises are almost always a good integration into your workout. But you need to know, the pounds go away the easiest (and thereby create a better ab “look”) by hitting the treadmill.

And don’t pay the two payments $39.95 for an ab machine whether “it does all the work for you” or not. There are tons of fantastic abdominal exercises for every level of fitness that you can do for free.

The problem isn’t you having an ab machine. The problem is you are spending money to subconciously fool yourself into thinking you are proactive about getting into shape.

If you really want to get in shape, put down the credit card, turn off the tv, open the door, and do something.

If you sweat when you are in the course of this miracle exercise - say jogging or walking, you’re much better off than you were with the $50 piece of plastic that fits easily into the corner of your closet.

Great tips, thanks! You know, you bring up a valid point and that is, if you want better abs, you are at least one step ahead, because you are thinking about it and preparing mentally to engage in some sort of activity to achieve your desire. With desire, and your tips, I have no question those who want it, can acieve it.

You are very welcome. I believe when you are at the start point of getting into shape, the best advice is to KISS. Keep It Simple Stupid. I got that phrase somewhere and it has stuck with me because its so easy and so true. To me if you want to be in shape, go workout. If you don’t have a gym, workout at home. Once you are comfortable with what you do, move up a notch. I think subconsciously, a lot of people know generally what to do, they just never get around to doing it. But you are 100% right, desire and motivation are the only way anything will ever happen. If you don’t have desire, you aren’t getting into shape.
