Top Five Fantasy Football Players

September 8th, 2007

With a lot of young players on the rise in the NFL, there are a lot of fantasy players near the top of the draft that aren’t recognizable to casual football fans. If you are going to play fantasy football this season, be sure to study before the draft. Without knowing the younger generation of players, you could miss a fantasy football stud in the first round.

Colts Crush Saints

September 7th, 2007

The 2007 NFL season opened on Thursday night with the 2006 Super Bowl Champion Indianapolis Colts facing off against the New Orleans Saints.

In a game that was hyped with multiple commercials featuring Colts quarterback Peyton Manning and Saints running back Reggie Bush, the much anticipated contest was really no contest.

By the end of the night, the Colts proved themselves to still be dominant, crushing the Saints 41-10.

Tank Johnson Reacting The Right Way

June 5th, 2007

Tank Johnson says he’s moving forward and that’s exactly the right course of action to take after how ugly things got for him.

The guy was on probation for a weapons charge and got busted for six unregistered firearms - not the kind you go deer hunting with, the kind 3rd world armies have. Johnson was also involved in a bad situation when he and bodyguard Willie B. Posey were at a fight outside a Chicago nightclub and Posey was shot and killed. He has subsequently served 45 days for his crimes.

Yesterday, Commissioner Roger Goodell handed down an 8 game suspension to Tank with the caveat it can be reduced to 6 games if Johnson has no more run-ins with the law and attends counseling. Johnson referred to Goodell as a fair man afterwards and embraced the incentivized reduction saying he was already looking at it as a six-game suspension.

He’s saying the right things and he’s also managed to stay away from trouble. Good signs for Johnson.

I don’t know what happened at the club shooting or what was going on with all the guns. It was a very bad situation for Tank and I’m not going to speculate on it. However, Tank Johnson has played his cards right after his low point and that is a positive sign. He was definitely worthy of his supsension and is accepting responsibility.

That’s good for him moving forward as well as the NFL.
