The Freelance Advantage – Part Two
Following are five excellent reasons why every small business owner should utilize freelance writers and designers when working on their written communications.
- Reduce Costs – Hire help only when you need it.
- No salaries, vacations, sick leave or benefits to worry about.
- Breathe new life into a project with enthusiasm and a fresh perspective.
- It is the only logical solution to sporadic writing and design needs.
- Small businesses get the professional advantage without the long-term costs of full-time employees.
When it comes to marketing, you can’t afford to skip the expense of professionals. Spending money on advertising without knowing any of the principals behind effective advertising writing and design is simply a waste of money.
Contact a professional for your marketing needs. The return on investment will be well worth the initial cost.

Okay, so I had to read part II of your article. Good job! Excellent reasons you outline for hiring a freelance writer, and I agree with you. Also, by hiring a freelance writer, you get someone who is unbiased and can bring a freshness to your business.

Cool article! The only downside I’ve experienced with freelance writing is that so many people are CHEAP. They want us to work for horrible wages, which I think is nonsense since most of us have a BA at least. ALL freelance writers should know that you can get paid REAL wages. You just have to find the rights jobs/gigs. If you have a college degree, think 20 dollars and hour and up. My first freelance job, which was a year long contract position paid $24 an hour. I know others who make $75 an hour. I just have to say something, because I’ve seen other freelance writers get shafted. All employers should know that they will get what they pay for.
